MetaCrafters Welcome Island

The MetaCrafters Welcome Island, constructed in support of our OpenSim hosting services, is an attractive community for introducing visitors to your virtual world.

The island features rich, modern architecture, beautiful landscaping, and creates an environment friendly to new users for the virtual worlds offered by our OpenSim customers.

The New User Training Facility provides access to tutorials and videos on how to participate in all aspects of your virtual world, from buying merchandise, renting land, developing their own products, or simply chatting and having fun. The Freebie Foundation offers new users free starter merchandise to outfit their avatars and get a sample of content you offer.

Company information resources are also present on the island, with an easily customized Information Center which features a help desk where an employee or automaton can be on-location to answer the questions of visitors. The Press Conference Ampitheatre creates a prestigious environment for the presentation of new products and services from your company.

The World Showcase Museum contains landmarks to popular in-world locations and allows for the presentation of products and services from highly rated sponsors.

The design also features some peaceful, aesthetic areas for relaxation, and a community center where new residents can gather, watch movies and chat, or just hang out and watch as new visitors arrive in-world.

Surveying the landscape is a high-profile security center, where administrators can keep watch on the entire island from a safe vantage point, and ensure a positive user experience in a safe and friendly environment.

The island and it's facilities are built to use only a small number of the available primitives for the simulation, enabling our customers to modify the island to their own specifications and add or remove content required to meet their needs.
