METACRAFTERS OPENS SECOND LIFE OFFICE
October 6, 2008

A new virtual office emerged in the world of Second Life today, as MetaCrafters opened it's doors within the walls of a small abandoned factory building in the southwestern corner of St Lion.

The offices are humble beginnings for the company's in-world headquarters -- a quiet, cozy location, adorned by several pieces of modern technology for presentations and accomodations for office workers, as well as a meeting space for clients and a demonstration area for an as yet unannounced upcoming line of products and services.

"MetaCrafters has previously, without 'official' office space, taken an active role in content development, building, and software support in the immersive virtual world of Second Life," MetaCrafters CEO and Founder Blaze Young explains. "We've simply decided that now is the right time to enhance our presence with some dedicated property instead of our previous rental locations."

The company has plans in the near future for expansion into a larger virtual spaces in various stages of development, projects planned include offices within several new Virtual Worlds platforms in addition to Second Life.

"I'm going to need space to plug in more computers, that's for sure, " says FWord Utorid, MetaCrafters Chief Technical Officer. "I already blew out our entire fuse box when I tried to run the time machine and the toaster at the same time. We'll manage, though."

MetaCrafters staff will be on-location daily during normal business hours actively serving customers, and is open to inquiries from prospective clients.
